The Update

Your cart now opens instantly. No more waiting for Shopify to confirm that the product was added to cart, increasing perceived speed and thereby conversion; particularly on slow internet connections.

What's New

Skeleton Loading: The EliteCart drawer now opens immediately when customers click "Add to Cart". A sleek skeleton placeholder shows exactly where the item will appear, with a subtle shimmer animation that keeps the interface alive and responsive (see light grey areas in the image above).

Dynamic Checkout Button: A new spinner appears in the checkout button during cart updates. Customers see their cart is processing during product adds, gift adds, etc.

The skeleton loading is enabled by default for stores that installed after 7th September 2025. Control it through: Cart Design → Advanced → Show Skeletons
