Star ratings and review counts now show directly in your cart drawer — on line items, upsell products, or both.
The Update
Customers already rely on reviews when browsing your store. Now that same social proof follows them into the cart. Products display their star rating (with partial star support for scores like 4.5) and an optional review count, giving customers confidence right at the point of purchase.
Key Features
Star ratings with partial support: Ratings render as filled, half-filled, and empty stars — a 4.3-star product looks like a 4.3-star product, not a rounded-off 4.
Optional review count text: Show text like "4.5 (120 reviews)" next to the stars. The template supports {rating} and {count} placeholders, so you can format it however you'd like.
Three display locations: Show reviews on line items and upsells, line items only, or upsells only. Upsell cards benefit most — ratings help customers decide whether to add a recommended product.
Customizable star colors: Set both the filled star color (default: golden #eab308) and empty star color (default: light gray #d1d5db) to match your brand.
Multi-language support: Translate the review count text for international stores via Language and Translations.
Works with your existing review app: EliteCart reads Shopify's standard reviews.rating and reviews.rating_count product metafields. Any review app that writes to these fields works automatically — Judge.me, Stamped.io, Loox, Shopify Product Reviews, and others.
Why You Should Use It
Social proof at the point of purchase is powerful. A 4.8-star rating on an upsell product removes doubt. A review count of 200+ builds trust. Customers see this information when they're actively deciding whether to check out or add one more item — exactly when it matters most.

Getting Started
- Navigate to Cart Designer → Layout & Function → Product reviews
- Enable the feature
- Choose where to display reviews (line items, upsells, or both)
- Customize star colors to match your brand
- Optionally enable review count text and customize the template
- Save and preview
